We’re an optimistic, veteran-owned moving company that started in San Diego and is now expanding to meet you wherever life takes you. We’re more than just movers of belongings, we move hearts too. When you trust us with your move, you’re inviting us into life’s most intimate moments, and that’s a privilege we don’t take lightly. Two strangers, one destiny
Our journey began when Anthony found his way to San Diego and requested to stay with Nas while he was couchsurfing. From the moment we met, it was as if we had been destined to be brothers.
The spark of entrepreneurship
Anthony returned to visit Nas in San Diego and shared how he had started doing small gigs online. We were both college student-athletes, struggling to balance academics, athletics, and finances.
Daring to drop out, dreaming to build
We made the decision to drop out of school. Anthony started MovingUp ATX in Austin, while Nas launched Flexdolly in San Diego a few months into the pandemic.
Growing stronger, together and apart
Our journey began when Anthony found his way to San Diego and requested to stay with Nas while he was couchsurfing. From the moment we met, it was as if we had been destined to be brothers.
Balancing service, duty, and ambition
Nas took on a new challenge by enlisting in the California Army National Guard, all while continuing to manage Flexdolly remotely with a strong team in place.
Bigger dreams, bigger cities
Nas relocated to Dallas with the goal of expanding Flexdolly’s reach into new markets. Meanwhile, Anthony continued to thrive in Austin, building a reputation for MovingUp ATX as one of the most trusted moving companies in central Austin. We were both building something special while staying connected and supporting each other through the ups and downs of our entrepreneurial journeys.
Growing our vision, strengthening our bond
Our businesses were thriving, but personal growth was just as important to us. We made time to continue our annual tradition of traveling the world together, gaining new perspectives, reading, attending seminars, and always seeking ways to improve both in life and in business.
A turning point, inside and out
Like every year, we traveled somewhere new together to stay inspired. This time, Alaska offered beauty, reflection, and clarity. During the trip, unexpected personal challenges back home forced us to slow down and reassess priorities. Anthony turned toward personal growth and spirituality, stepping back from daily operations at MovingUp ATX. Meanwhile, Nas returned to California to regroup, continuing to lead Flexdolly with renewed purpose.
A new journey for Anthony, a deeper purpose for Nas
Anthony’s spiritual journey led him to a new calling in men’s coaching, prompting him to step away from the moving industry. In January 2024, after a deep, transformative conversation, we decided Nas would take over MovingUp ATX, with Anthony supporting behind the scenes. This choice aligned our personal growth while continuing to serve clients across Texas and California.
Flexdolly's nationwide expansion begins
By June, Nas officially moved to Austin, rebranded MovingUp ATX, and merged it with Flexdolly. Our vision of serving communities nationwide began taking shape, with Flexdolly becoming a trusted name in San Diego and Austin. What started as two college kids trying to make ends meet had grown into something far greater than we ever imagined.

Our journey is far from over, and wherever life takes us, we’ll continue to grow, serve, and inspire. Because at Flexdolly, we’re not just moving things, we’re moving people. We turned our challenges into opportunities, and through it all, our bond has remained unbreakable.
